It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the school year. I am so glad that you have chosen Avondale Elementary School District (AESD) as your District of Choice.
We are proud of our accomplishments and the direction our district and schools are heading. While each school site is unique, there is the core, overarching mission of every adult in our organization to ensure our students are thinkers, problem solvers, and communicators on their path to college, career and life. To that end, the framework for everything we do is Kids at Hope:
We believe… all children are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS.
We connect… all children to caring adults to reveal and grow the possibilities
We time travel… we prepare students for their future by time traveling to allow children to see their potential in four destinations and to plan for it today.
Our students are recognized at the school and district level for personal growth academically, behaviorally and socially. There are a variety of opportunities for your child to engage in activities through afterschool programming, enrichment classes, athletics, National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and Student Council. We look forward to celebrating the growth and progress of your child throughout the year.
Parents are encouraged to be full participants as well. Each site has a PTA/PTSA, Site Based Community Councils, volunteer opportunities in our classrooms and parent and family engagement events scheduled all year. You are also welcome to join the District Parent and Community Leadership Liaison Advisory Council that meets quarterly to support the goals of our district and schools. Please get in contact with your site administrator or me to take part in any or all of these opportunities.
We are honored to work with you and your family. None of our successes could be possible without a strong parent/school relationship. We encourage you to become active participants in our schools, classrooms and within our District. Avondale Elementary School District is our community for our kids.
If I can be of service, please contact me.
