Angela Smith

Angela Smith is the coordinator for the Avondale Virtual Innovation Academy. Smith has been an elementary teacher, instructional coach and professional development coordinator. 


Smith's vision for the academy students will be to embrace meaningful learning and become self aware of the academic and critical thinking skills necessary to become lifelong learners that possess the characteristics of future advanced educational and employment opportunities. She is excited to be continuing this unique learning experience for our Avondale families and looks forward to a great year!

Rebecca Haines

Rebecca Haines has taught second and third grade for more than 35 years in the Avondale School District. Having grown up in Flagstaff, she assisted Northern Arizona University. Haines like to read, travel, listen to music and go to live music events. She is excited for this new adventure into online learning!

Corey McCoy

Ms. McCoy has been teaching for 30 years, with 23 of those in Avondale. She has taught Kinder, 1st, 2nd, 4th and middle school students. She has 3 cats and has adopted a foster shelter dog. She enjoys football and is an avid Steeler fan. She loves to bake and often posts cooking demos online. During non-school hours, McCoy works to help teachers and community groups with robotics and coding and also volunteers on the weekends as a media tech.
