Principal's Message

Dear Copper Trails Community,

  • I want to take a moment to say thank you to the Copper Trails community for all of your support. Due to your support the staff is able to offer several unique programs and experience multiple successes that would not be possible without our community. Some of these programs and successes are as follows:

    • Currently a "B" School
    • A PBIS School
    • The Student Council has been recognized as a Master Council for the 4 consecutive years
    • Zero-Hour Program - Before school clubs
    • TAG Program - Talented and Gifted Courses
    • After School Clubs - Includes PomPom, K-4 Dance, 5-8 Dance, Robotics, Flag, Corn Hold, Yearbook, Hip Hop, and Agriculture
    • NJHS - National Junior Honor Society

Our families also had the opportunity to participate in several events to help celebrate our students such as the Fall Festival, Color Run, Spaghetti Dinner, and the Fall and Winter Student Showcases, the Pre-school, Kinder, and 8th Grade Promotion Ceremonies.

The staff will continue planning and providing opportunities for students to experience activities from all of the Kids at Hope Destinations. Grade levels have taken students on field trips to multiple exciting locations throughout the state. During day trips students were able to walk with dinosaurs, visit botanical gardens and experience life as a pioneer.

To help continue supporting the students’ development of their talents Copper Trails will continue identify programs through the Talented and Gifted Program. Identified students have the opportunity to work with staff twice a week on specific skills and then will be able to share their efforts with the community once a quarter. Parents and Staff are able to recommend students for the program.

In closing, I want to congratulate all of the students for meeting significant milestones throughout the year. I am so proud of the accomplishments of the students and staff. I know there will be many more to come.
