The Academic Services Department is responsible for supporting district personnel in meeting the academic needs of all students.  This is accomplished by providing rigorous, standards-based curricula in all content areas and ongoing professional development for site leaders, master teachers, mentor teachers, and career teachers.

At AESD, we recognize that high quality instructional materials aligned to grade level content standards, differentiated instruction, and a comprehensive approach to assessment are vital for a robust educational program. We believe that Arizona’s content standards are an excellent foundation for academic achievement and we continually strive to develop our programs and instruction to allow for students’ access and success.
