Welcome to the Avondale Elementary School District!  Get ready for an amazing 2025-26 school year! As your new Superintendent, I am honored and excited to start this year with you.  In Avondale, we want every child to become a thinker, problem solver, and great communicator. Our goal is for every child to dream big and pursue their future without limits! We are grateful that you have chosen us for your child's education.

We are Proud of Our Achievements!
Resulting from our belief in children and excellence in education, Avondale Elementary School District is highly rated  by the Arizona Department of Education. This means our students are growing and learning at an incredible rate – faster than many other schools across Arizona! In fact, our students are growing more than twice as fast in reading and an amazing 12 times faster in math on state tests!  We've also received some wonderful awards:

• Six of our schools were named Best Elementary and Best Middle Schools by U.S. News & World Report.
• We were named the Best School District in the 2024 Best of the Best Awards.
• Desert Star Elementary School was named Best School  in the 2024 Best of the Best Awards.
• We were named the Best School District, and Desert Star was named Best Public School in the 2025 Best of the West Awards.
• We were named the Best Place to Work in the West Valley in the 2025 Best of the Desert Awards.
• Our ACE Preschool was named Best Preschool in the West Valley in the 2025 Best of the Desert Awards.
• We have  been recognized for excellence in financial reporting for more than 30 years in a row.
