Dr. Eric Dueppen, Superintendent
Dr. Dueppen is a native Arizonan, born and raised in Chino Valley, just north of Prescott. He attended Chino Valley High School and Northern Arizona University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in Bilingual Multicultural Education.
After graduation, Dr. Dueppen relocated to Phoenix, where he became a dual-language teacher in the Roosevelt School District, empowering emerging bilingual children from kindergarten through eighth grade. His curiosity, expertise, and dedication led him to obtain both Masters and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership. Throughout his career, Dr. Dueppen has held significant leadership positions, serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning in the Creighton School District. In addition, he has held the position of Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.
Dr. Dueppen also supports aspiring educators as an instructor at Northern Arizona University, teaching courses on Legal Aspects of School Administration and Supervision of Instruction. His commitment to educational excellence extends beyond the classroom, as he has also served as the President of the Arizona School Administrators Association Educational Services Division, and the co-chair of the Greater Phoenix Education Management Council Educational Services Division.
Dr. Dueppen is honored to serve the Avondale community. He is deeply committed to sustaining Avondale's tradition of academic excellence and holistic child development practices. He is excited to work alongside Avondale's dedicated Board, teachers, staff, and students to work toward fulfilling the District's vision of a limitless future for ALL students.

Kellie Duguid, Assistant Superintendent
Mrs. Duguid has served for 22 years in multiple culturally diverse, urban communities as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, and director of curriculum and instruction. She obtained a Masters in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. Mrs. Duguid joined the Avondale Elementary School District, first serving as the director of curriculum and innovation. She was named assistant superintendent for the district in 2019.
Mrs. Duguid holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and a Masters degree in Elementary Education with an advanced certification in Educational Leadership from Chapman University. Most recently, Mrs. Duguid completed and additional leadership certification with the National Institute of School Leaders, where she is now a facilitator for the state of Arizona Beat the Odds/National Institute of School Leaders initiative.
